The 2014 Christmas lunch raised €8,000 for Women’s Aid. The funds were  used to support the Charity’s helpline service which provides support to women and family at risk of violence and abuse in the home.

We called in to see their building and were given a tour of the service rooms where they offer counseling and support to women in crisis situations. It was a peaceful, calming space that must come as salve to the souls of the many women who are helped there.

We are delighted to have made some new friends and are delighted that our energies and funds are being used by such committed people to provide a lifeline to women in need. We look forward to being able to do more to support the important work carried out by Women’s Aid at some time in the future.
